Our week at Elijah Haven Homeplace was physically and spiritually renewing. The experience was magnificent and we hope to return again. Thank you so much John and Scott for opening your home to us!

We just stayed at Haven Homeplace with our two children ages 7 & 9. We had just arrived from a six week trip in Italy and John was so inviting. We arrived late and he had all the lights on, food in the fridge and we dropped our bags and felt like we were home. My brother-in-law who is a contractor and finish carpenter came over and just gushed over the home. It is warm, tasteful and totally comfortable. I can only hope that my sister's house isn't finished when we come back to the East Coast so that we can stay here again. Have no hesitation to rent this amazingly charming home.

This historic, restored, 1830 farm house in the heart of New England embraced us and offered us all the comforts of home, as we explored Massachusetts foilage at its peak.

the charming cottage is beautifully decorated with furnishings that speak to the era of another time yet it is equipped with chic modern touches like Crate and Barrel stoneware designer dishes, Garnet towels and linens, large Rainshower head, full size fridge, vintage electric stove, stocked pantry and so many luxuery touches that made us feels so special. John and Scott have decorated with rustic yet exquisitely elegant style.

The Elijah Haven Homeplace is truly a gem! My wife and I spent the week cycling through the surrounding area and visiting nearby towns and we could not have picked a better spot for an "unplugged" and relaxing environment. The property is exceptionally well cared for and offers extremely peaceful surroundings with access to miles of walking trails. We rent 3-4 different vacation properties per year for family vacations and this was the most well-kept and well-stocked property we have visited. We are looking forward to another visit in the future!

This property was lovely and our hosts could not have been more welcoming to us and our dog. The house was so nice and felt warm and comfortable right away. Everything was there to make our stay perfect -- from the welcome when we pulled in to the eggs and basics in the fridge, our stay was made easy. The home was clean and fresh, warm and secure, and best of all, very welcoming to our dearest pup. Speaking of him -- the fields where the houses reside are huge and made for a great place to hike around, play, and enjoy the weather. The apple trees were a wonderful surprise.

John and Scott were personable, friendly, warm, informative and accomodating. Having arrived late, John had taken the time to call a few of the restaurants to let us know which would be opened upon our arrival. As locals, they know the history of their farm and the lovely town of Ashburnham and they obviously have great pride in both.

My husband and I spent several months this past winter at Haven Homeplace while we completed a complicated real estate deal and started a renovation on our home in this area. As the pictures attest, this home was such a treat to come back to every day. A safe haven in the storm of our lives. We felt like we walked in to a haven of peace and serenity. Every detail created a sense of warmth and welcome. We loved the big bookcase, the inspirational books at the side of each bed, the big mugs and the hot chocolate mix so thoughtfully placed in the kitchen. For our short time there, we moved in heart and soul. The grounds are private and amazing. I'm hoping to find a reason to create a stay in the summer so I can see it from that perspective! This home was a true find.

My husband and I enjoyed this Heavenly Haven so much it was difficult to depart from the cottage and to leave our new Hosts friends.

The numerous windows in each room provide a breathtaking view of the manicured lawns, carriage house, gardens, orchards, woods, stone walls, birdhouses and roses to name a few. We saw a flock of bluebirds dancing among the falling leaves. I curled up in the loft nook and read passages from Robert Frost's Collections of Poems, Prose, and Plays--a book borrowed from our Hosts' library shelf.
